True story; this officer (John Pike) got a settlement of $38,000 because he said he got depressed after pepper spraying these kids. Oh, the depression wasn’t for feeling remorseful for pepper spraying a bunch of college kids peacefully protesting. He got depressed because he said since the media kept playing the video of him pepper spraying peaceful kids without cause, he got threats and didn’t feel safe. He didn’t feel safe. I’m not making that up. This motherfucker collected nearly 40 grand on worker’s comp after assaulting a bunch of college kids.

owl-atheart asked:

What is Ebola a distraction for?

setbabiesonfire answered:

Everything that’s going on that’s not ebola.

Any one of the countless wars being fought out of greed and spite or genocides that need serious attention from the world community, the military-like force peaceful civilian protesters around the world are being met with - including right now in America (ie: Ferguson protests across America, see also Hong Kong, Thailand, Egypt, Bahrain, Ukraine, Mexico, Turkey, etc.), that you and I are unwillingly being forced to pay for these people’s violent self-perpetuance, that HIV will kill more people this year than ebola, that there are cures for cancer that are illegal & a patent for AIDS that no one can use, that the Attorney General quietly resigned after a scandal involving him having known about a CIA gun smuggling operation in Mexico just recently, that human beings - our very own kind, just like you an I - are being exploited all over the world and many Americans are unknowingly financing much of it, how the American CIA created Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra & ISIS, rapid climate change, mass pollution protected by legislation, all the money and resources that could be saved or re-appropriated for better, more constructive and more helpful, peaceful things than they are currently being used for…… a lot.

Every time you watch the news, ask yourself; “Is this really all that’s going on in the world?”
